Drop-in Schedule

This is our summer schedule for official drop-in, current as of May 25th.  No SCPA membership needed.  Equipment box combo is 0275.   In all drop-in sessions (except beginner/novice-only) with 6 courts or morehalf the courts are designated recreational play and half are challenge play.

Games to 11, win by 2, except when 4 full stacks are waiting.  Then play to 9, win by 1. Any player can put their paddle in either stack.

  • Recreational play:  Stack paddles in 4s.  Oldest stack takes next open court, plays a game, and then all 4 players leave that court.
  • Challenge play:  Stack paddles in 2s.  When a game ends, losers leave and 2 players in oldest stack enters to play the winners.  A winning twosome can only play 2 games in a row, then must exit and the oldest 2 stacks (4 players) start a fresh game.

In addition, PB-lined public courts in Summit County are available — first-come, first-served — for private games whenever not reserved for a particular sport or program.  Look for court signage indicating times court is off-limits.  Outside those times, grab an open court and keep it as long as you like.  Rotating in other players who wander by is completely optional.

Finally, note that folks come and go, early or late, depending on weather and anticipated crowds.  SCPA members are eligible for GroupMe texting about whether/when/where members are playing.  Join SCPA here for $20 and check box on registration form to be added to our GroupMe.  Current members email info@summitpickleball.org.
